RGBKB Sol 2

RGBKB Sol 2

Obtained on: January 9, 2020 | No longer own

While I already had a polycarbonate sol 2, I wanted to know how this board would sound with a carbon fiber plate and bent steel case. Similarly to the poly sol 2, I built this board using non-soldered mill-max sockets to make the board hot swap. My choice of switches were lubed Kalih burgundy switches; Originally, I wanted to build this board with Kailh low profile choc switches but after getting a sample pack, I did not like the feel choc switches (expect for jade and white).

However, after typing on the board for a bit, I did not really like the sound of the board. There was a lot of ping due to the case; I think this issue probably could have been solved with foam.
