The clueboard was my first custom aluminum build. I bought the board on an impulse after seeing it featured in the XDA Canvas group-buy page at Drop.
I had recently bought some Aliaz 60g switches from KBDFans and really enjoyed the tactile bump. I wanted to build the clueboard with Zealios switches but they were too expensive (each Zealios switch cost twice as much as an Aliaz switch). After I build the board, I was absolutely in awe at the glorious ungerglow that was visible through the frosted acrylic spacer; the kit came with a reflector to place at the bottom of the board to enhance to RGB underglow effect. I also bought a frosted acrylic bottom so the the RGB could be even more prevalent. An aluminum top with a polycarbonate or acrylic bottom is my favorite combo for keyboards since it oozes aesthetic.
Unfortunately, I noticed after a couple months of use that one of the LEDs under the PCB was not lighting up and as a result causing the sequential LEDs to also not power on (the underglow LEDs work as a series). I tried to replace the SMD LED but I lack the proper technique and ended up burning the side of the LED.
